Hi there, my name is Minh. I am a Certified Financial Analyst (CFA), a Strategy consultant in Toronto- Canada, a part-time photographer!
MY BACKGROUND AND EDUCATION IN FINANCE
Growing up in a middle-class family has taught me to be resilient, self-sufficient, and careful with money.
I was trained and worked in finance, but it’s corporate finance, not personal finance.
Hence, I am equipped enough to understand the nuances and complexity of corporate finances and apply them to personal finance- in a way- is much less technical, but much more psychological.
Our relationship with Money is the relationship with self, it’s essentially built on many subconscious beliefs, some are positive, and some are very limited.
HOW I STARTED BLOGGING ABOUT MONEY AND PERSONAL FINANCE
Money is never an interesting topic to me. But since I relocated, several things (including Covid-19) have changed my mindset and now I learn that personal finance is critical for anyone’s life!
In a world full of uncertainties, without understanding money or its importance in shaping our future plans, it will be even more difficult for us, Millenials, we may end up with any financial disappointments along the way.
In a world where women are taught to put themselves second and think of others before themselves, it’s easy for us not to have the right tools when navigating our own personal finances.
My ambition and mission are to help women save money while building their wealth towards independence through sound investing practices and side hustles.
That is why I created Harmony with Money – so that other young girls and women like me can learn about money management from someone who has been through what they’re going through now as well as all those moments in between!
